Blake and Trevor stay for 3 days 3 nights with Grandma and Grandpa Guanella

Blake and Trevor went to Grandma and Grandpa Guanella's house July 14-17. Grandma gave Trevor and Blake cameras and here are some of the pictures they took while visiting....They went to the Mid-America museum, tiny town (trains), and the Hot Springs Tower. Cousin Sarah came to play with the boys at play by play ( A play place) and at the house. The boys were spoiled and got to eat out and stay up late, and eat lots of junk too! I missed my two big boys so much. I did not have to referee boys' fights, play ball or star wars, clean messes, feed children, clean feed and clean, feed and clean... I cleaned the house and the most amazing thing happened. It stayed clean! I played with the baby and wondered now what? I did not know what to do with myself, so I think I took a nap with the baby WOW! Now what?? I really did miss them. Now they are home and the chaos is once again running the Guanella household. I think I am ready to send them back....Grandpa and Grandma gave them presents and treats no wonder they were good!

Fourth of July 2009

Fourth of July

We had a great Fourth of July weekend. We started out with a pancake breakfast at church. (My children have been living on pancakes since school let out!) Then we took the boys to Home Depot to the kids workshop where they each built a picnic caddy. We ran around doing errands then went home. After lunch, the Thompson children came over and played. I asked Tony (Dad) to watch them while I cleaned. I walked in the check on things and found Tony fast asleep with Grant on his lap wide awake! Jordan and Zach Thompson were playing with Blake and Trevor. I took a picture and Jordan asks is this going on your blog? Yep! (Janae you are an inspiration!)Later in the evening we went with the Thompson Family to the baseball game. The Travelers won but I am not sure if anyone noticed. Trevor was rolling around in the grass and the kids were having fun playing and reading and eating. While we were waiting for the fireworks to start, Trevor, Blake and Zach got to wait in line to run the bases. Trevor ran the wrong way at first. Zach and Blake raced to the home plate. Then we all enjoyed fireworks. What a fun day we will miss the Thompson Family when they move...

Blake is store winner for Kohl's Kids who Care....

I entered Blake in the Kohl's Kids who Care Scholarship contest. When we found out he won for the $50.00 gift certificate for the store of Conway we were thrilled! Blake was confused and said, "What? How did I get this? What did I do?" I entered him for collecting cans around Conway and recycling them. He took the money he earned and put in in his savings account, paid tithing and donated it to Arkansas Children's Hospital. He told me he would have done it anyway. He did not do it for any recognition. I know! What a great boy! We are so proud of him and hope he wins the big scholarship. If not, he still deserves a big congratulations son!
